Jim Proposes to Pam

It was a momentous week for television. After years of anxious watching and waiting, with the expectancy building unbelievably high, NBC’s ‘The Office’ did not disappoint its viewers last week:

The scene is in the rain at an unattractive gas station, with cars moving through the foreground and obstructing the camera’s view. The dialogue is hard to make out, and very few words are spoken. But wow :) ! As the culmination of a beautiful story of two ordinary people falling in love, I feel that this has got to be one of the most romantic scenes on television.

  3. Oops. I’m sorry Matty-K … I should have thought of that. I just assumed that everyone would have known by now. Really truly sorry.

  4. Thought I would check you out, and low and behold your first item was about the office. For us up here in the boonies, we have to rely on watching the DVD’s when they come out and we just finished the fourth season. This is the missing scene, and because of you, we didn’t have to wait a full year!! We love this show (not as good as the BBC version) and it is neat to see that it appeals to many generations. Have a great day! your aunt

  6. I was excited to see that Jim finally proposed, but I have a feeling Rich Sommer’s character will throw a wrench into things while Pam’s away at Art School. I’m anxious to see how Jim and Pam handle the long distance relationship, I think it’s inevitable that their trust in each other will be tested. I wouldn’t be surprised if in one of the next few episodes they decide to put things on hold until after Pam gets out of Art School.
